A sunset is the disappearance of the sun every night as it fades away. However, sunsets don't occur everywhere.

Explanation of the colorsIn a sunset, there are long wave lengths and short wave lengths. The shorter wave lengths usually fade away compared to the longer lengths. Colors such as blue and green are usually the shorter wave lengths, that's why you don't see those colors as much. Orange and red are the colors you usually see the most in a sunset. That is because most of the other colors have faded and left behind is the oranges and reds. At night, there is usually more particles in the air than in the morning. That means that a sunsets colors are typically better looking than a sunrise.
